Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS)
During IMS, specially designed filament needles are used to stimulate neuromuscular tissues, with a focus on myofascial trigger points or “knots” in the muscles. These knots can be painful, and may also cause pain throughout other areas of the body. IMS aims to reduce this in order to promote specific and active strengthening of the muscle tissue.
